  • Credentialing/privileging – comparing Mediare’s rules to your hospital’s policies
  • Statutes, regulations and payer policies – which rules to follow?




Objectives

At the conclusion of this session attendees will be able to:

  •  Explain the regulatory and coverage policy requirements for PA and APRN reimbursement in clinics, hospitals and hospital-owned facilities.
  • Identify the unique rules surrounding “incident to” and shared visit billing.
  •  Describe the components of delivery system change that will impact PAs and other health professionals as payment systems transition to value-based reimbursement.  
  •  Evaluate PA/APRN productivity in both economic and non-economic terms, and demonstrate their contribution to increased practice efficiency.
  • Discuss how to reduce the possibility of fraud and abuse audits.
